If I could give 10 stars, I would! Simon is the best instructor I’ve had — patient, clear, and incredibly knowledgeable. Swiss driving rules are tricky, but he made them easy to understand. Simon did an absolutely amazing job teaching me how to drive in Switzerland. He covered every little aspect so well and did so many practices that I passed the exam easily. I recommend him to everyone for a good preparation for the driving test.

I needed to convert my Mexican driver's license and contacted Simon at Smooth Drive School. Simon is a great teacher, he is very precise in his theory and practice and gives you all the training you need for a successful driving test. You have to trust him, if he says you're not ready to take the test, then keep practicing with him. He takes each student very seriously and puts his knowledge and energy into giving you the best chance to pass the test. I passed my test and we were both very happy. For me, this was only possible thanks to Simon. Besides, it is a lot of fun to learn driving in a super sporty Ford Mustang SUV! I enjoyed every session a lot!

Easily qualifies for 5 out of 5. I should thank my colleague for referring Simon and Smoothdrive. It was really smooth overall. One of the best driving schools for expats especially. I took 7 classes in total with Simon and was able to pass the exam to convert my foreign driver's license to the Swiss one! He was an amazing instructor, communicated with me in English but also practiced the instructions in German so I could get used and on top of that made sure I'd be confident and relaxed for the test. After taking lessons with SmoothDrive (Simon Schmid) I was able to pass my test successful first time without any problems - even the examiner commented on how good the driving was. He was very friendly and gave useful advice which definitely helped. Coming from Britain I went from being used to driving on the opposed side of the road to being able to successfully pass an all German driving test thanks to SmoothDrive. Ich hatte bei Manuela Fahrschule sie war supper bei ihr lernt man wie man richtig fährt. Sie ist sehr geduldig und kann alle fragen supper erklären so das man die gründe für das verhalten wirklich auch versteht und nicht mehr vergisst. Ich habe meine Prüfung vor etwa 3 Wochen bestanden. Jedes mal wen ich im Auto fahre erinnere ich mich an die Tips die sie mir auf den weg gegeben hat. Jeder Schüler ist bei Ihr gut aufgehoben.

Meine Fahrlehrerin war Manuela. Ich schätzte nicht nur ihre fachliche Kompetenz sehr, sondern auch ihre tolle Art. Sie war immer extrem geduldig und aufgestellt, nahm sich Zeit für mich und meine Fragen und gab mir viele wertvolle Tipps. Ich ging also sehr gerne zu ihr in die Fahrstunde und dank ihr konnte ich die praktische Prüfung beim ersten Mal bestehen. Ich kann sie wirklich nur weiterempfehlen.

Meine Fahrlehrerin war Janine Freitag. Eine sehr freundliche und geduldige Fahrlehrerin. Durch ihre ruhige und gelassene Art, fühlte ich mich immer sehr wohl. Die Fahrstunden wurden immer so Aufgebaut, das es auch für mich gepasst hat und ich nicht überfordert war. Bei Fragen und Unklarheiten stand mir Janine zur Hilfe. Sie erklärte mir anhand von Bilder die Szenarien die ich nicht verstanden hab. Gab mir auch Lernkarten als Unterstützung. Bei Unsicherheiten im Strassenverkehr, bekam ich von Janine genug Zeit und Repetitionen um dies zu verbessern.

Simon ist ein Super Freundlicher und moderner Fahrleherer. Mit seiner ruhigen, witzigen Art hatte ich super angenehme fahrstunden er ist auch sehr flexibel. auch hat Simon super nützliches Lernmaterial, welche er seinen Schülern mitgibt. I would definitely recommend Simon. I had a couple of classes with him and was converting my Indian license. He is a very patient instructor and gives you the correct tips in order to pass the exam. Also his tips are very helpful not only for exam but even for future and you can always ask for questions anytime. When he felt I was prepared he also reduce my number of classes and told me that it was unnecessary to take more classes. I feel this is not the case with all instructors. He boosts your self confidence and makes sure you don't take unnecessary stress which is important when you are scared due to exams.

Simon is one of the best driving teachers in Zurich. He is calm, composed, very patient and polite. This helps in reducing lots of stress a driving student usually goes through during preparation phase. Simon is very competent in all aspects of vehicle dynamics. The technique of Simon to teach driving is very different and it helps new drivers. One of his best technique is, he gives you small printed pics of rules or process e.g how to take the reverse, proper alignment of vehicle, steps to follow while doing reverse & parallel parking. These pics helps you to remember and recollect even when you are not driving. He gives you the correct assessment of your driving skills and does not unnecessary push you for the extra lessons. His driving schedule is very flexible and he can be available till late evening. I highly recommend his driving school.

I successfully converted my driving license into a Swiss one with Simon this week. Simon is an excellent and patient driving coach. I really enjoyed the driving lessons with him. He makes sure that I know all rules/tips and am well prepared before the kontrollfahrt, though I contacted him not long before the scheduled kontrollfahrt. An amazing driving school! The lessons are well-planned and the method of teaching is very effective. He speaks english and german fluently. He assesses your weaknesses accurately and provides effective training during the lessons. The car used for the training is equipped with the latest driving assistant systems like parking sensors, 360 degree camera, cruise control etc. which are a great help while driving.
